The Spring/ Summer season at Boogalgopal got off to a dry start with calves born into  drying paddocks.

We decided to go ahead with our yearly AI  programme despite the far from optimal season. Semen from polled grey brahman bulls was used including LMC Pistolero and Ambassador. We have been impressed with the progeny of these bulls in our earlier programmes. We also enjoy this time when  the heifer mob is close to the house for observation.

With the AI programme finished, we moved into mustering the commercial paddocks in the lease ccountry where we use all home bred bulls with pleasing results. This is a good testing ground for our grass-fed  paddock sale bulls as we  guarantee their ability to produce good calves in all conditions.024e
