Winter has arrived with brisk fresh mornings and glorious days to follow. The excitement of Beef 2012 is behind us (see Facebook stories www.facebook.com/boogalbrahmans) and it is back to work for the team at Boogalgopal. (We still can’t get over the number of people who come up to us and say how great the steak was at the Ascot Brahman Stonegrill…..WE all know that our Brahman Beef is superb …. hopefully this top marketing promotion at Beef 2012 will help dispel the erroneous  perceptions that still seem to be held out there  !!)

Our No 2 Stud weaner Brahman and Charbray weaner bulls and heifers have been at the home yards for a couple of weeks…. our New Caledonain and Brazilian tour groups who visited during Beef 2012 were impressed with their quiet nature and weight . We are also impressed with the No 2 weaners and have loved having them close by for visitors. The time has come however for them to go to their fresh paddocks…..

A cold morning with the mist rising from the gully below the house was the setting for today’s resettling of the mob into their new home.

Tex closes the gate on the ’round yard’ before we start the day.

Tex provides a bit of unexpected entertainment as he gets the ‘pigroot’ out of a fresh ‘Jo’ !!!!
‘Bette’, ‘Brandy’and ‘Tub’ are up for the fun!

Lance is silhouetted as he rides quietly along behind the mob on ‘Margarita’

Finally ‘on the road’ and settling in for a ‘hard’ day at the office !

Walking into the glare of the early morning sun…

Spider webs are everywhere and glow in the wet grass…they never cease to amaze me!

The weaners are dwarfed by the pasture and are almost lost in the glare

The weaners cross over a boggy, shady section of Curriers Gully as they enter ‘Glenrock’ paddocks

‘”Turbo” watches as the weaners find their way around a deep gully.

Tex and Lance follow the last of the mob out of a gully crossing.

The day begins to warm as the mob ambles along to water.

On the home run now across the flats

The mixed mob of stud heifers and bulls walks along the bank of the main ‘Glenrock ‘Dam

A persistent ‘willy wag tail’ entertains us at ‘smoko’

The weaners are drafted into heifer and bull groups … here Tex walks out some Brahman stud weaner heifers to their new paddock.
